Viewing Security Settings

To change the Security Settings for Internet Shield:

1. Right-click your Shaw Secure icon and select Open Shaw Secure.
2. Click the Internet Shield button.
3. Click Change.
4. Select your desired security level from the menu.

Internet Shield Security Levels

• Block All: Blocks all traffic to and from the Internet.
• High: Requires you to acknowledge all applications trying to access the Internet.
• Normal: Internet Shield working normally.
• Office: Requires a network router to protect the computer from hackers and Internet worms.
• Custom: Intended for experts, this setting allows the user to create their own set of rules for the Internet Shield. Information on how to set up custom rules can be found here.
• Allow All: Allows all traffic to and from the Internet. Internet Shield is turned off.

Note: Turning off Internet Shield can leave your computer vulnerable to outside attack.
