Using the Real-time Black List

The Real-time Black List is an up-to-date online database of known spam sources. Setting Shaw Secure to use the Real-time Black List improves its ability to detect spam, but it also slows the process of downloading new email messages.

By default, Spam Control uses the Real-time Black List.

To change the Real-time Black List setting:
  1. Open Shaw Secure.
  2. Click Spam Control.
  3. Click Advanced.
  4. Select or clear the Use internet queries to improve detection rate (RBL) check box.
  5. Click OK to close the window.
