Selecting Parental Control Level
There are several different ways to turn Parental Control on or off.
To select which Parental Control filter which to turn on:
- Right-click the Shaw Secure task bar icon, and then click Parental Control.
- Select the filter that you want Child, Teenager, or Parent. By default here is what each setting does:
- Parent - Turns off Web site filter.
- Teenager - Web filter by category.
- Child - Parent approved pages only.
- When prompted, type your Parental Control password.
- Click OK.
To turn Parental Control on or off using the Shaw Secure interface:
- Right-click the Shaw Secure task bar icon, then select Open Shaw Secure.
- Click the Parental Control tab.
- Select the filter that you want Child, Teenager, or Parent.
- When prompted, type your Parental Control password.
- Click OK.
To turn Parental Control on or off from within Internet Explorer:
- On the Internet Explorer toolbar, click the Parental Control icon.
- Select the filter that you want Child, Teenager, or Parent.
- When prompted, type your Parental Control password.
- Click OK.
