2. What are the minimum system requirements for Shaw Secure?

Your computer must meet these minimum system requirements to download and install Shaw Secure.

Note: Shaw Secure should not be installed on any server version of Windows. To install Shaw Secure you must be logged into a user account with administrative privileges.

All Shaw Internet customers can use Shaw Secure at no charge on up to five computers. You must install Shaw Secure in order to take advantage of this complimentary service.

5. Does Shaw Secure work with other anti-virus or firewall products?

Running two Internet security programs at the same time can cause system instability and slow performance, and may prevent you from connecting to the Internet. We therefore recommend that you remove other anti-virus or firewall products before installing Shaw Secure. See below for details on removing Norton and McAfee. Shaw Secure allows you to specify a port to use without having to enter complicated rules.

6. Can I use Shaw Secure and Shaw Spam Filter at the same time?

Yes. The anti-spam feature available with Shaw Secure provides an additional layer of protection that does not interfere with Shaw Spam Filter. Combined, Shaw Secure and Shaw Spam Filter work together to provide first-rate protection against spam.
